something like this perhaps

12+2+1 Critical Strikes
12 Scythe Mastery

[skill]Wearying Strike[/skill] [skill]Reap Impurities[/skill] [skill]Malicious Strike[/skill] [skill]Critical Defenses[/skill] [skill]Critical Eye[/skill] [skill]Way of The Assassin[/skill] [skill]Assassin's Remedy[/skill] [skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

scythe sins don't get access to IAS but their superior energy management and crit rate does go a long way for making up for it vs stationary foes (when they start to run, the derv will be critting all the time anyway).

You could however simulate an IAS by using both reduced activation attacks with their good recharge. Same attributes.

[skill]Eremite's Attack[/skill] [skill]Mystic Sweep[/skill] [skill]Victorious Sweep[/skill] [skill]Chilling Victory[/skill] [skill]Critical Defenses[/skill] [skill]Critical Eye[/skill] [skill]Way of The Assassin[/skill] [skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

WoTA makes a lot of sense with scythes but tbh even with scythes it looks very bad for an elite next to the unremovable critical eye, there are some others that make sense.

11 Scythe Mastery
10+3+1 Critical Strikes
10 earth prayers

[skill]Eremite's Attack[/skill] [skill]Mystic Sweep[/skill] [skill]Malicious Strike[/skill] [skill]Vital Boon[/skill] [skill]Conviction[/skill] [skill]Ebon Dust Aura[/skill] [skill]Critical Eye[/skill] [skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

Just throwing out some ideas.

keep in mind that a critical hit is max damage + 4 levels of your weapon...

so basically a critical sin is not really better than a 16 mastery dervish (especially with wild blow)

also...you are using skills as an assasin to buff criticals and energy where the derv would use those slots for healing and protection.

But you'd hit more crits. Oh well. Depends on the user I guess. I prefer my daggers.

wouldnt the sin attack just as fast with a scythe as they would with dags? Or does it have to do with the weapon themselves? because if the sin attacked that fast with a scythe it could do some major dmg...

attack speed is based on weapon. if it was based on profession no one would ever use dervs. ever.

I tried one similar to the first one in fort aspenwood. worked pretty good, in its own way.

When running A/D with 14 crit and 12 scythe the raw average damage per hit is 48.8 damage, 14 scythe mastery provides an average of 46.9 damage per hit. With critical eye the damage goes up to 55.2 damage on average. So the main consideration is:
Plain dps -> assassin>dervish
Tools -> dervish>assassin (assassin needs to spend all attribute points and has no acces to mystycism nor other nice secondaries)

I have a A/D Critical Strikes, Scythe Mastery and some points in Shadow Arts seems to work best for me. I use a similar build on my Hero.
I created her with the idea of doing this, and it's really fun, however the lack of nice clothes mean I don't play her too often any more.

I took a WotA Scythe build with Wearying into RA and got a glad point the first try. Completely FWIW, but if the first three attack skills crit you end up dealing a lot of damage.

I'd be too afraid to bring the build elsewhere due to the laughing and the pointing at me.
